Enjoy the Grounds

Armathwaite Manor is situated in expansive grounds, including a walled garden, patio, front garden, wooded area and court yard. You are able to walk around the manor to reach different areas of the grounds. Behind the manor is a long stretch of fields and forests to look out on to.

PATIO AND WALLED GARDEN

Take a stroll through the walled garden or sit out on the patio and enjoy a meal or some drinks in front of the stunning view.

Sit round the breakfast bar while dinner is being made and take in the lovely scenery of the meadow as far as you can see. The kitchen is fully equipped with two fridge/freezers, two ovens, microwave and wine cooler.

VINE COVERED WALK WAY

Our beautiful ivy and vine covered walk way is a wonderfully romantic place to look out on to the Armathwate countryside.

As you arrive through the front door you’ll experience a grand entry, the fantastic red carpet up the wide staircase with chandeliers, one as you walk in and the other up the stairs.

WOODED AREA

At the rear of the property we have a wooded area and seating for you to enjoy. Take a short stroll through the trees and view the riven Eden to your right.

"Great location with two pub’s situated either side, and the village shop that offers all your needs. With walks along the river Eden and 30mins or less to the lakes. Penrith is close by, so excellent to stop for some famous fudge! Carlisle also is close, so great to visit the Cathedral and castle, plenty for kids too in nearby Lowther Castle. The house itself is stunning and has been renovated to a high standard! And the grounds are spectacular, nothing better than to relax after a long walk and sit back in the massive Hot tub! We actually hired majority of the house both Edenside and Meadow View, and in the near future hope to book again at this great place!!"

"We recently stayed in Manor Suite and we had the most amazing time. Sue and the time went above and beyond to ensure our stay was the best. We loved the extra touches on arrival, bottle of wine, chocolates and biscuits, just what we needed after our travel up. The village itself is beautiful and has everything you need, pubs, a little shop with all the essentials and amazing walks. The hot tub was great to sit in and watch the world go by. Phil the gardener was lovely and chatted to us about the grounds and the work that’s been done.
